Recently, the installation of LonMaker on my PC has failed to start (a similar problem occurs if I start the LNS server manually, which leads me to think the problem is occurring with LNS). When I start LonMaker I get the following error message: "Could not listen on _poet/tcp: The address specified is already in use or another server already running. (-2532)" in a dialog titled "FastObjects Runtime System". I click OK on this dialog and I another error "The database server process could not be started. (Subsystem: LNS, #33)" in a dialog titled "Echelon LonMaker". When I start the LNS server directly, the first error message is the same (except it appears twice), but then the next error message is different: "ERROR opening LCA Global database Problem connecting with the database server process. (Subsystem: LNS, #36)[DB #-2523]"
Any ideas? I'm running under Windows XP professional SP2.
Thanks,
Andrew Walsh.
